Types
Essential. The consent cookie records whether you accepted or rejected. The same choice is also kept in this browser’s local storage under the key cortexripple-cookie-choice, so the banner does not return on every page.
Analytics. If you accept, the house sets a first-party cookie that merely notes that this browser allowed a visit count. We do not pass that cookie to an advertising network. If you reject, that cookie is not set, and nothing on the site is blocked.

Pages request typefaces from Google Fonts. That request is made by your browser to Google and is separate from the two cookies above. We do not set third-party advertising cookies.
How to refuse or remove them
Use Reject on the banner. You can also delete cookies for this site in your browser settings, and clear site data to remove the local storage key. Blocking cookies will not hide the studies, the field notes, or the inquiry form. If you block storage entirely, the banner may appear again on a later visit because the choice cannot be saved.
Effect of refusing
Refusing leaves the site fully usable. The visit cookie stays unset. The house will still reply if you send a note, because the form does not depend on the cookie.
